Toe to Toe

LA-based photographer Mark Laita's book 'Created Equal' is a book of portraits taken through 8yrs across the States.

For me, these diptychs seem to make our country's diversity a bit less vast.

...which is awesome.

Well Felt

Photographer Kenneth Josephson's work [ these selections are from the late 60's-70's ] couldnt possibly connect with me more.

His images carry a kind of 'but you knew this already' tone - they're like friendly reminders, somehow.

His humor is well communicated delicately; just right.

Thanks, Steph, for sending him my way.

If Space Had A Rainforest

Woah.

I just discovered Nick Cave's work. He's a dancer [ he has worked under Alvin Ailey ], sculptor, fashion designer, maker of things.

These are what he calls 'Sound Suits'.

Otherworldly, indeed.
